Cybele Policastro was born in Greenwich Village, New York.
Cybele attended the School of the Museum of Fine Arts at Tufts University in Boston, MA.  At SMFA she discovered documentary video and co-produced several documentary shorts about local personalities - such as Mr. Butch.
After school, Cybele moved to Brooklyn, NY.  Co-producing a documentary about Bennington College in Vermont that focused on the firings of tenured faculty and issues of academic freedom. She and her co-producer, Amy Carberg, interviewed students, teachers, and alumni including Camille Paglia, Donna Tarrt and others.
In 2006, Cybele began working for ABC News at Good Morning America editing day of air news in a fast-paced environment. Today she edits anchor features and special projects for some of the most iconic names in television news - Robin Roberts, Diane Sawyer,  Amy Robach and George Stephanopoulos.
Cybele is also a news and digital junkie who has over 11k followers on her Instagram page @bleeckerstreetbeat.nyc documenting her native Greenwich Village, NY neighborhood.
Cybele Policastro lives in the West Village, NYC with her family and two dogs.
